Hi,
I hope your child enjoyed the first Term of kayaking. The plan for Term 2 is as follows
· Term 2 from 7th Nov – 19th Dec– 7 classes
· Cost 50 euros (7 classes) + annual membership fee of 150 euro
· Duration 1 hour – there are 4 coaching sessions each Saturday, juniors will be allocated one time slot per Saturday.
· 12.30-1.30
· 1.30-2.30
· 2.30-3.30
· 3.30-4.30
Above schedule is dependent on numbers of juniors.
In Term 2 we will focus on advancing the juniors in basic kayak skills in line with the Canoeing Ireland awards.

· Club zap app is being reviewed to allow for members to pay for courses and membership fee
· New Kayak equipment is due in mid November
· Kayak Mitts to protect against the cold will be provided to the Juniors
Membership fee is 150 euros for juniors and this will cover the period until 31 Dec 2021. Juniors will be registered with Canoe Ireland and this covers insurance also.
The membership fee is to pay the registration fee of Canoeing Ireland and also to pay for equipment such as kayaks, paddles and storage. To date we have relied on the generosity of other kayak clubs to provide equipment but will need to buy our own equipment. The coaching fee also generates supplemental income which goes towards the purchase of equipment.
Term 3 will be early January 2021.
